Welcome Message from the Chapter President – Reese C. Blair, CPA
Greetings:
On behalf of the Executive Board and the members of the Philadelphia Chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants, Inc. (NABA), I want to give you heartfelt thanks for visiting our website. I sincerely hope that you consider this site the portal to a wealth of information about NABA, about our Chapter, and about the many exciting and altruistic events that have been planned for the 2008 fiscal year.
Proudly celebrating almost 38 years, NABA is a national 100,000-member organization with the primary purpose of encouraging and increasing the interest of African Americans and other minorities to pursue and excel within the accounting and finance professions.
The Philadelphia Chapter consists of over 200 minority professionals within the fields of accounting, finance, information technology and business. Our objectives are to address the professional needs of our members and to serve as a catalyst to build exceptional future business leaders. To achieve these objectives, we sponsor a number of activities throughout the year such as, professional development sessions, community service initiatives, Accounting Career Awareness Program (ACAP), and our annual student conference workshop.
Whether you are a current member, a prospective member, a corporate partner or a curious web-surfer, hopefully you will find this site most informative. Should you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us at questions@nabaphilly.org.
Sincerely,
Reese C. Blair, CPA
