Welcome Message from the Chapter President – Nicole A. Greer

Welcome to the official website of the Philadelphia Chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants, Inc. (NABA). Digital communication and the availability of real-time information has become an essential part of our daily lives. With that in mind, we hope that you find information about NABA, our upcoming events, the NABA community and its constituents easily accessible within these pages. 

This is an exciting time in the history of our chapter. Having recently celebrated our chapter's 35th Anniversary, we had an opportunity to pay homage to our charter members, past chapter presidents, and the legacy of tremendous leaders that have been synonymous with our chapter and this great organization. In looking back over three decades we were reminded of our rich history, and how the contributions of the countless individuals that came before us ultimately blazed a trail towards excellence. This reconnection with our roots ultimately inspired our theme for FY2010: "Reconnecting With Our Past To Shape Our Future".

The Philadelphia Chapter is part of a national 100,000-member organization with the fundamental mission to "...address the professional needs of its members and to build leaders that shape the accounting and finance professions". To achieve this mission, and with the invaluable assistance of corporate partners, we facilitate activities throughout the year to support our membership through professional development sessions, community service initiatives as well as mentoring and networking opportunities. With over 350 minority professionals and student members, NABA has become one of the premiere conduits for recruiting talent within the fields of accounting, finance, information technology and business.

On behalf of the Executive Board and the members of the Philadelphia Chapter, thank you for your interest in NABA. Whether you are a current or prospective member, a corporate partner or a future friend of the chapter looking for information about the organization, we hope that you will find this site useful and informative.
