Welcome Message from the Chapter President – Reese C. Blair, CPA
Welcome to the official website of the Philadelphia Chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants, Inc. (NABA). The design and organization of this site has been laid out with our internal and external stakeholders in mind. Additionally, with our national mandate to become "Leaders in a Connected World", we recognize the inherent power of leveraging technology, especially in an ever-shrinking world. I sincerely hope that you consider this site the portal to essential information about NABA, the Philadelphia Chapter, and upcoming events that have been planned for the 2012 fiscal year.
Celebrating almost four decades since its founding, the Philadelphia Chapter of NABA is part of a national 100,000-member organization with the primary purpose of encouraging and increasing the interest of African Americans and other minorities to pursue and excel within the accounting and finance professions.
The Philadelpiha Chapter consists of over 350 minority professionals and student members within the fields of accounting, finance, infomation technology and business. Our objective is to address the professional needs of our members and serve as a catalyst to build exceptional future leaders in business. To achieve our objective, we sponsor and host activties throughout the year to support our membership such as, professional development sessions, community service initiatives, the Accounting Career Awareness Program (ACAP), our annual student conference workshop, and many others.
Whether you are a current or prospective member, a corporate partner or a future friend of the chapter looking for information about the organization, we hope that you will find this site useful and informative. In closing, if you are a financial or business professional located here in the Greater Philadelphia Metropolitan area, please consider joining our chapter. Getting involved has invaluable benefits including networking, career growth opportunities, mentoring and community service.
